We woke up later than expected, which was nice. Eoin stayed in Grandma and Papa's room and Liam stayed with Jordan and I - we slept until 8:00am! That's near mid-day for us :)
After breakfast we packed up and headed to the zoo! We had heard great things about the St. Louis Zoo and it delivered! We saw lots of baby animals - our favorite was the baby elephant. We saw rhinos, hippos, camels, tigers, lions, penguins...you name it! It was great. We stopped for the Sea Lion show, which was great and rode the train from end of the zoo to the other. We were exhausted by the time we decided it was time to go. We will definitely be back!
Memories on Savanna Road
This blog was designed to journal our experiences during the pregnancy of our first child. Then our second child came and somewhere along the way life got ahead of me and updates were rare. Our newest addition, our third boy recently turned one and I'm getting back to the blog world as we create family memories!

St. Louis Day 1
We planned a little trip out of town to St. Louis for this past weekend. At the time we planned it, we thought we would be ready to get out of dodge for a weekend; unfortunately, our calendars quickly filled up before then and this weekend was the 4th being out of town - this is craziness for us homebodies!
We left early Satruday morning and hit the road. Grandma and Papa Kohn came with us! First on the trip was to hit up the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. The boys enjoyed the horses and Eoin really paid attention. Grandpa, Daddy and Mommy enjoyed the samples at the end!
Next up was Grant's Farm! We had never been here before and it was fun! We were able to catch an elephant show and of course have some more beer samples...seriously, St. Louis keeps your glass full :) Eoin and I also rode a camel! Our camel's name was Sinbad. It was terrifying to me! Liam was able to fall asleep for a quick nap while Eoin fed some goats.
After Grant's Farm we headed back to the hotel. That was an adventure in an of itself :) We walked around downtown St. Louis; showed Eoin where the Cardinals play....as much as we were pushing for a Cubs fan, we may have lost this battle, but truly he is a sports fan! He was mad he couldn't go inside, but we did catch the National Anthem! We found somewhere to eat on the Landing and then walked back to the hotel again.

Happy March 1, 2013
Eoin had a couple of douzies for Eoin-isms this morning.
E: Happy March! It's March, can I wear shorts today?
This was announced while he was quite literally still in bed. An aside should be noted that it is snowing and with a high of a balmy 30* today!
E: Mom, did you know it's March. March means Home Show month! It starts Wednesday with load-in.
Grandma Lisa runs the Bloomington/Normal area Home Show and Eoin has been a fixture from birth. He clearly looks forward to March for this reason!
Wow, these little men are growing and changing everyday and they are cracking us up on a daily basis.

The Fam
I admit I am not good at pictures; I try, I really do. I forget the camera, hundreds of pictures end up on memory cards never to be uploaded (they will someday, I promise). At this point my amazingly talented friends step in and take pictures! Melissa held a shoot with us last Friday and although it was exhausting (read: Liam wouldn't smile, or look at the camera, or do anything but scream if he wasn't on my hip!) the results are amazing!
