This blog was designed to journal our experiences during the pregnancy of our first child. Then our second child came and somewhere along the way life got ahead of me and updates were rare. Our newest addition, our third boy recently turned one and I'm getting back to the blog world as we create family memories!

Over our Christmas celebrations Eoin was uncharacteristically fussy and sleepy and now we know why . . . my baby is sick. He has had a runny nose, a fever, and a cough since Monday and although it is beginning to subside, my hearts breaks for the little man. He got to stay home from daycare yesterday to lie around and watch cartoons with Grandma Kohn. He is feeling much better today, thankfully. This is the first time he has been sick; we have been lucky that he was healthy for almost 7 months and know that this will help to build up his immune system, but there is nothing worse than having your baby be sick and you not be able to help him (well besides infant Tylenol and lots of love). Also, even with how awful he must feel, he still manages to look up at me with a great big smile!
One more Christmas

On Saturday, after leaving from a couple of days at Nana Brown's, we headed to Aunt Tina and Aunt Krystal's for a belated Christmas celebration. Eoin enjoyed spending time with the Kohn side of the family, although he was still rather sleepy from his lack of sleep up north. We also celebrated Daddy's birthday! Jordan finally turned "26." We had a very low key evening as we had a very sleepy baby and we were exhausted from our travels ourselves. Happy Belated Birthday, Jordan! A fantastic husband and father :) Thank you for all you do! We love you.
and then that afternoon . . .

we drove up to Nana Brown's. Eoin was spoiled yet again with more presents and we got to play with McKaylah and Auntie Kelly. Dinner was absolutely delicious and a great family friend, Rosemary, joined us. After dinner, we headed up to Aunt Donna and Uncle Hugh for what is becoming a fun tradition of dessert and wine drinking (two of my most favorite things!) Eoin got to see everyone, although he was a little out of his element and a little fussy as he didn't sleep much. We also received very exciting news that my cousin Kathleen has set her wedding date, so now we have so much to look forward to in the new year!
Later that morning . . .
Jordan, Eoin and I headed over the Grandma and Grandpa Kohn's. Awaiting to open all the presents were Ashley, Nick, Aidan, Jessi and Erin. The kids got to dive into their goodies first, but before that they were instructed to put on these adorable "Baby's First Christmas" Santa hats . . . well, once that happened Mammarazzi (aka Ashley and I) were out if full force! The babies are just too cute together . . . oh and they were incredibly spoiled too, but so were mommy and daddy.

Santa came and Christmas morning with our little family was magical. It was so special for Jordan and I to capture his first Christmas and I know it will become even more special next year when he grasps more of what is actually going on :)
*how special that this one just happened to be our 100th blog :)

Christmas Eve was wonderful! We began our evening at Christmas Eve mass at St. Mary's. Eoin was an absolute angel throughout the entire service. We got to see lots of family at Jordan's Aunt Dawn's. Eoin had a great time surrounded by lots of family. He got to open some presents and became as much of a professional at opening presents as a 6 1/2 month old can :) We had to get home and get snuggled into bed so we could get up bright and early the next day!
