Fun parties

we're missing, Tina, the other birthday girl!

Playing with Grandma Kohn

Poor Aidan didn't feel great, but she makes looking cute so easy!

He is holding his own bottle!

Jay is already a pro at this baby thing!

On Friday we attended fun party to celebrate Aunt Tina's birthday (her birthday is actually today! Happy Birthday) . . . Eoin really enjoyed himself! As did we, of course! We were very excited to see Aidan and Auntie Ashley! They made a surprise trip into town for Auntie Erin's birthday, which was yesterday!

Look what we tried . . .

RICE CEREAL!

GIVE ME THAT, I CAN DO IT!

worn out and sleeping in my jumparoo

yumm-o I love this stuff!

Since Dr. Weaver gave us the green light on Friday, Eoin has been getting cereal in the evenings and to say he loves it would be an understatement! It only took him a couple of bites to realize he loved it and his little mouth opened up at the sight of the spoon! He is growing up so quickly!
At 4 months old now I feel I should give a little update on his capabilities. Although he has rolled over a couple of times, he is not yet doing it consistently. Although one thing he is doing consistently is sleeping through the night. We have been very lucky parents; he has slept through the night since he was about 6 weeks old! He doesn't have to be asleep before we put him down now either. We can place him in his crib awake and just put his little aquarium on and he will watch it for awhile and then doze over. He will usually sleep now from about 8:30-9:00pm straight through to 7:00-7:30am.
Eoin is also grabbing and reaching for things. He reaches for things that are out of his grasp and grabs things that are within. This means everything! I was reading a flyer today while he sat in my lap and it had to be his. We were in a store and he was in the baby carrier and he was reaching and grabbing for everything on the shelves! He recognizes Jordan and I and his little head will snap around if we enter the room and he hears our voices. He also has a newfound interest in Aspen. Aspen has always loved Eoin and rarely leaves his side whenever he is at home and awake, but now Eoin is starting to love on Aspen too! He reaches for her and touches her soft fur. Although is loving on his sissy, there is no love flowing either way between his brother older Reilly.
We are getting very excited for Halloween; Eoin has tried on his costume and seemed to enjoy it very much . . .

4-month check up

Yep, you just read correctly, Eoin turned 4 months old last week and just this morning had another milestone appointment with Dr. Weaver. His numbers are in and they're lookin' good . .
Weight: 16lbs 15oz (1oz. short of doubling his birth weight!)
Height: 251/2 inches (grown 71/2 inches since birth)
He was such a good boy with his shots, I wish I could take them as well as he does. He received an oral innoculation as well as four shots . . . he literally laughed after the first shot! I am serious! Jordan and I couldn't believe it! What 4 month old giggles wildly after being pierced with a needle? Do we need to be aware of future masochism? Hopefully not, and the great big wail after the second shot confirmed that! Poor little guy :( But anyway, he is very healthy and we have the "ok" to start introducing solids . . . so maybe tonight we will start rice cereal!

Daddy and Eoin . . .and there is Clint's odd shaped pumpkin for Beth

Yesterday Eoin, Jordan and I met our friends, the Mavros' and Clint, at the Rader's Pumpkin Patch, located just outside of town. It was small, but lots of fun . . . unfortunately many of the pumpkins were picked over and Katie and I decided that the kiddos are still to little to enjoy all of the activities. When we got back we got ready for an early night. Jordan had Eoin on our bed and was growling at him (I know, seriously?) but Eoin LOVED it! He was squealing with delight, which I absolutely had to capture! So, I did, enjoy the little video . . .

I am so sorry to be behind on posting and picture taking! Jordan has been traveling for work and I have been busy with work, school and of course my sweet baby! Eoin got to go to work with Mommy on Monday as she had her Fall Outing for work . . . he was such a trooper! Eoin attended his first Kindermusik class this week (we were given a space that opened up so it is 1/2 through the semester) and he really enjoyed it . . . all of the kids were older than him, but he still loved it and stared throughout the majority of the class ;)
