A visit and a flurry

Last night we finally stopped by as a family of four to see our good friends Annie and Jay and their beautiful baby boy, Max.  It was such a great time and reminded me how nice it is to have friends you can relax with.  Pizza and a big salad and baby talk made for a great night and also made us wonder what we ever talked about or how we ever entertained ourselves before children came into the picture.  Max is seriously one of the cutest little men I have every met!  He has grown so much since I last saw him.  Liam was very jealous of me holding him, so I didn't get to squeeze him as much as I would've liked.  But I did get to feed him whilst Liam was distracted!

As we were leaving it started snowing.  We didn't have any accumulation, so  white Christmas is out, but Eoin still had a blast trying to capture the flakes!

Our Elf

Eoin has been really into Elf on a Shelf this year!  He has been a part of our family for a few years now, but this is the first that he's really been a part of it!  He was even renamed this year, now he's Woody, proudly named by Eoin.  Each night he travels back to the North Pole to report to Santa whether or not Eoin and Liam were good little boys all day long.  It is a race in the morning down the stairs for Eoin to find where Woody has landed from the night's trip.  Santa has learned about many items on Eoin's Christmas list since he talks to Woody (it is seriously the sweetest thing in the world!).  Christmas time really is magical with children!

Prepping for the holidays

See this little man pose!?  That's exactly what he does now when I bring out the camera.  It's hilarious.  His dirty little face is a norm also.

Helping mama make cookies.  This is one of his favorite things to do.  I have to watch him closely or he sneaks the dough which leads to an upset tummy.

Liam is content to munch on a mum-mum.

'Tis the season for runny noses

But he is still happy.  This picture is one of my favorites!  I love this little man ... and if you look very closely, you can see tooth #1!

This past weekend was a weekend filled with preparations.  We baked, we dipped, we wrapped, we cleaned, we lounged (a little) and played . . . it was filled with excitement and magic . . . Christmas is only days away now!

Just found . . .

I am getting really nostalgic and Liam is only 8 months old!  I'm not ready for my baby to grow up.  Alas, I was cleaning out my phone and found these pictures . . .
This crocheted blanket is his lovey, probably since I let him have it so young because I knew he would be able to breathe if it covered his face.  He likes to stick his fingers and little toes through it!  I never want to forget this!

My chubby little Irish boy, absolutely love this picture!

One of the first things I wanted to do as soon as I knew I was having another boy was to pick out matching and coordinating outfits.  This was one of the first times (definitely not the last) the boys matched.

Nothing like a sleeping baby.  He rarely sleeps if not in his crib right now, so I'm reminiscing through pictures like this one.

The Hubster and I

We attended my friend Autumn's wedding in September (2 days after our 4 year anniversary, thankyouverymuch) and we took these pictures in the 'photo booth!'  I love the picture.  We can still have a little bit of romance after two kids (and a couple of glasses of wine! ha!)

We didn't plan on having our picture taking (ahem, Jordan didn't shave), but the colors we are wearing are bright and vibrant against the white backdrop.  I think I might get one printed for our bedroom ;)  And the "Mrs. & Mr." thing . . . yep, totally thought of it on the fly and loving how it looks :)

Santa and The Boys 2011

I received the disk from Laura with the boys' images with Santa today.  I wasn't disappointed!  They are great.  I swear, my children have only worn these outfits 3 times total, are you sick of seeing them in them yet?

LJLC Christmas Program 2011

Last night Little Jewels hosted a Christmas Program at Calvary United Methodist.  Have gone through this twice before with Eoin, we sort of new what to expect . . .chaos.  Lots of kids and parents (over 500!), lots of picture taking and filming of the children.  It was very fun, though.  Aunt Cindy, Uncle Bernie, Aunt Tina, Gina, Grandma Kohn, Grandpa Kohn and mommy and daddy made up Liam and Eoin's cheering sections.  Liam was front and center for some bell ringing, drumstick banging (and chewing) to Winter Wonderland.  Eoin also took centerstage for renditions of Up on a Housetop and Must Be Santa!

We headed to Aunt Tina's afterward for a yummy dinner of pizza and of course Eoin continued to entertain us!

Emily & Eoin . . . word has it, they are an item ;)

We have a tooth!!!

Tonight we had the boys' LJLC Christmas Program . . . that is another entire post . . . coming soon . . . I promise!

Afterward we headed over to Aunt Tina's house for some pizza and fun and while bouncing Liam around I discovered his first tooth!!!!!  Just one day shy of his 8 month birthday!  We for sure thought it was coming for a very long time, he has had quite the time teething.  Eoin also popped his first tooth during his 7 month and Liam apparently could not be out done!

We are so excited and I have a feeling another one is not too far behind (he has the rosiest little cheeks!) but we shall see.  Now we just have to keep Eoin from feeding Liam steak (or anything else for that matter), we have got away with it so far by saying that he doesn't have any teeth!

Definitely brothers!

Eoin and Liam definitely have their differences.  I am lucky that they have both been very 'easy' babies, but Liam is a lot more dependent on mommy than Eoin was.  Liam entertains himself better than Eoin did, both sleep incredibly well.  Sometimes I look at Eoin and wonder what Liam will look like at his age.  I often look at Liam and while I see a similarity or two, I figure they are so different!  But, every now and then, a picture will trigger my memory and they are identical!
Just take a look!

The magic of Christmas

I know it has been a very long time since I have posted, I intend to get back up and blogging much more consistently again.

This past weekend, my wonderful friend Laura has Santa sessions for the kids.  It was amazing and I certainly know that Eoin is a believer!

Children's Discovery Museum

Jordan was hunting and we were cooped up yesterday, so Allison and I decided to take the kids to the Children's Discovery Museum to wear them out a little bit.  It worked, but we also had a lot of fun!!!  The last time we were here, Eoin was slightly too young.  He could run around and play, but wasn't into everything.  Liam was content playing sitting in a circle playing with toys (how come he isn't so easily entertained at home?)

My little peanut playing away!

Gage loved the water table!

Handsome man!

Not surprisingly, Eoin's favorite displays were any dealing with farming.  He spent a lot of time in the combine!

Happy boy, loving every minute!
