ISU Homecoming Parade 2010

My two favorite boys decked out in their red/Redbird apparel!

Eoin had the best seat in the house

Eoin with two of his favorite Aunts, Tina and Krystal

Eoin and Aunt Krystal, the celebrity! Krystal was named a Distinguished Alumni for the Education Department at ISU and was recognized throughout the Homecoming festivities. We couldn't be more proud of her!!!!

This week was Homecoming Week for my Alma Mater and our home town team, Illinois State University. The town participated in lots of festivities throughout the week and Eoin's daycare, Little Jewels, even participated in a spirit week. Eoin dressed up each day and it was a salad dressing theme! Monday was 'no dressing' aka pajama day. Tuesday was 'Western dressing' aka dress like a cowboy/girl. Wednesday was 'Caesar dressing' aka wear a toga. Thursday was 'Green Goddess dressing' aka dress as your favorite super hero. Finally Friday was 'house dressing' aka wear red/ISU clothing! Eoin participated in 3 of the 5 days; we forgot about the cowboy day and a toga on a two year old doesn't work very well! It was definitely a fun week!

Saturday morning began early as I ran the Town and Gown 5k with Aunt Tina. With me being pregnant and Tina having her first run since recovering from a surgery, we did pretty well! It felt good to run! Afterward, I had to head to 'work.' McDonald's has an entry in the Homecoming parade each year and I had to get lined up. Jordan, Eoin, Tina and Krystal were all able to meet up with our great friends Katie, Jeff & co. at Katie's dad's business as it was right on the parade route and the kiddos could go inside if it got too cold. It was actually a beautiful day as you can tell by the pictures!

The pictures are courtesy of Tina as I was unable to be there. I did get to throw out some cheeseburgers to my favorite parade observers!

Another great Homecoming year . . . Go you Redbirds!
